Recommend To Library (RTL) Manager allows you to respond to demand quickly and easily by building carts or automating orders based on title recommendations from your users. You can create as many RTL Manager plans as you like.

Note: You need the "Recommend to library" feature enabled on your OverDrive website to use RTL Manager.

How to create an RTL Manager plan

  1. Choose Automate Carts from the Shop drop-down menu.
  2. Click RTL Manager.
  3. Click Create new.
  4. Fill out the required questions to create an RTL Manager plan (see the "RTL Manager tips" section below for recommendations and to preview the questions). When you're ready, select Continue to complete your plan.
  5. You'll be taken to a confirmation page where you can review the terms of your plan. If these are all correct, select Save this plan.

How to run an RTL Manager plan

When you create an RTL Manager plan, you'll specify how often you want it to run and whether you want it to save a cart for your review or automatically place a recommendations-driven order when it runs. Your plan will then run automatically based on your preferences. Each time your plan runs, you'll be notified by email.

At any time, you can also select a plan you've created from the RTL Manager home page and click Run now to have that plan create a cart for your review within five minutes. Run now will never place orders automatically.
