How to add and manage Marketplace users

Select Add user(s) > Add new user to create a single new user.

Then, enter the user's name, email, description (optional), and permissions. Marketplace usernames are automatically populated based on the user's first and last name, but can be edited if you'd like. Usernames are case sensitive.

Note: You can't create a user who has permissions higher than your own.

Once you've created a new user, Marketplace will send them an email so they can activate their account.

User types

Depending on the type of Marketplace account you're signed in with, you may be able to create a particular user type:

• With a Custom user, you choose all the user's permissions.
• If you're signed in with a school account, you can create an Educator user to assign school-centric permissions.
• If you're signed in with a shared collection/consortium account, you can select the Advantage user checkbox to assign the user to a specific Advantage account.

Select Add user(s) > Bulk upload new users to bulk upload new users.

To bulk upload users, you'll need to upload a spreadsheet and select permissions.

Note: You can't create users who have permissions higher than your own.

Once you've bulk uploaded new users, Marketplace will send an email to each new user so they can activate their account.

To search for a specific user, use the "Search within" box at the top of the grid. You can search by first name, last name, username (login ID), or email address.

Click next to a user to edit their profile and permissions or disable the Forgot your password? feature on their sign-in page.

To resend a user's Marketplace welcome email (with their username and sign-in instructions), click and select Resend welcome email near the bottom of the window.

To bulk resend welcome emails, check the box next to each user, then click Resend welcome email (in the top-right corner of the grid).

Note: If you can't check the box next to a user, you'll need to click to resend their welcome email individually.

Check the box next to one or more users, then select Delete user to delete them. This action can't be undone.
