How to weed or unweed individual titles in your collection
You can weed titles to hide them in Libby, in Sora, and on your OverDrive website.
Note: When you weed a title, all copies are hidden in your collection. For shared collection/consortium and Advantage accounts, you can only weed and unweed copies owned by your collection.
To weed (or unweed) titles:
- Sign into OverDrive Marketplace.
- In the Admin drop-down, select Weeding.
- Select Search collection.
- In the search box, enter any search criteria for the titles you'd like to weed (or unweed).
- If you'd like to weed titles, make sure that your "Weed status" is set to Not weeded.
- If you'd like to unweed titles, make sure that your "Weed status" is set to Weeded.
- To see only expired titles in your results, set the "Holdings" field to Expired.
- Click Search.
- Check the box next to the titles you'd like to weed (or unweed).
- Click Weed title(s) or Unweed title(s).
- Select Confirm.
When you weed a title, any users who borrowed it won't be able to renew their loan. Users who have holds on the title won't be notified of its removal. However, the title will still appear on the user's Holds page with a message that the title is no longer available.
Weeded titles may take up to 24 hours to disappear from your collection.
Note: You can also set up an automatic weeding plan to regularly weed titles that meet certain criteria.
