"The account could not be created because it already exists" error when adding a new Marketplace user

This error happens when the username or email address you enter for a new user is the same as a current or previously deleted user. Usernames can only be used once at each library or school.

To fix the issue, you can edit the "Username" field (or "Email" field for Educator users) when adding the new user. For example, try including the user's full first name instead of just the first letter.
