How to pay an invoice

Permission required: Manage invoices

Invoices are created for content purchases in Marketplace, and for fees and add-ons to your OverDrive service. Content invoices are due on receipt, and non-content invoices are due within 30 days.

Invoices can be paid by:

  • Bank account (U.S. libraries and schools only)
  • Credit card
  • Check
  • ACH (U.S. libraries and schools only)
  • Wire transfer

Note: Certain payment options may not be available for all accounts.

Paying by bank account or credit card (directly in Marketplace)

You can pay invoices directly in Marketplace using a bank account (U.S. libraries and schools only) or credit card:

  1. Sign into OverDrive Marketplace.
  2. Go to Billing > View invoices.
  3. Check the box next to one or more invoices, or click an invoice number to see its details.
  4. Click Pay invoice(s).
  5. Select your payment method, then click Pay by bank account or Pay by credit card.
  6. Enter the required information.
    • If you pay by bank account, your account information will be saved automatically for future use.
    • If you pay by credit card, you can check the box next to "Save this credit card" to save it.
Note: Your saved bank account or credit card information can only be used by you.
  7. Click Confirm payment.

Once you submit your payment, you'll see your payment receipt. You can click Save PDF (in the top-right corner) to save a copy of your receipt.

Paying by check, ACH, or wire transfer

When you make a payment using one of these methods, be sure to include a list of invoice numbers, amounts due, and customer ID with the payment, or email that information separately to invoicing@overdrive.com.
