Will users be notified if a title they have on hold is weeded, expired, or recalled from the digital collection?
No. If a title with holds is weeded, expired, or recalled from your digital collection, users with holds won't be notified.
If a user has a hold on a weeded or expired title, they'll still see that title in their Holds. The title will have a note explaining it's no longer available, and the hold will be fulfilled only if it's added to the collection again.
If a user has a hold on a recalled title, the title will be removed from their Holds and it won't count against their hold limit. If the title ever becomes available again, their hold will become visible and active.
