What to do if there is a content-related issue

If a user is experiencing a content-related issue, try deleting and re-downloading the title. See steps for re-downloading titles in Libby and Sora.

If the issue persists, please contact OverDrive Support using our technical support form so we can investigate the issue and, if possible, correct it.

When you report the issue, be sure to include:

  • Title and author
  • The problematic format (e.g., Kindle, EPUB, or Libby ebook)
  • Description of the unexpected behavior
  • Location of the issue in the title (e.g., the chapter name)

If it's an issue with a Kindle Book, we recommend trying to read the title directly in Libby or Sora, or using the Read now in browser option on your OverDrive website.

If your user wants to borrow something else while we investigate, you may want to return the title on their behalf (if you have End-user support permission).
