What does "Advantage" mean?
OverDrive's Advantage program lets members of a shared collection (also called a consortium) purchase additional titles for their users only. It's a great way to customize your digital collection based on your users' interests and reduce wait times for popular books.
About Advantage:
- Members use a separate Advantage account to purchase content and (optionally) curate their own lists (also called collections) in Marketplace.
- Advantage titles appear alongside the shared collection/consortium's offerings, so users can access the content anywhere: Libby, Sora, or your OverDrive website.
- Advantage titles and copies are only available for patrons and students who belong to that specific library or school.
- MARC records are available for titles unique to the Advantage collection.
- Reporting about Advantage titles is available in Marketplace.
If you have any questions about the Advantage program, contact your Account Manager (whose contact information is listed under the Marketplace Support tab).
